The rules
in the TBA Rule Book relating to 300 game
Awards are as follows:
RULE 401 AWARD - THE
PERFECT GAME
TBA will prepare and present a suitably
embossed Plaque and Certificate to any affiliated
TBA bowler in good standing who has,
in a single game in structured or accredited
competition anywhere under the jurisdiction
of TBA, attained the score of 300.
This award is free of charge once in a lifetime.
TBA Awards are not available for any scores
bowled in pre or post bowled matches without
the direct opposition of their opponent.
Should a bowler achieve these scores two
or more times, a Certificate will be presented.
RULE 409 AWARD - CONDITIONS
GOVERNING A 300 GAME AWARD
The following are the requirements which
must be met for eligibility for 300 game
award. TBA Awards are not available for
any scores bowled in pre or post bowled
matches without the direct opposition of
their opponent.
1. The high score must have been bowled
in League or Tournament Accredited
by TBA.
2. The lanes upon which the score was bowled
must have been currently certified by TBA.
3. A competent foul judge or an automatic
foul detecting device approved by TBA must
have been employed during the full time
the score was being bowled.
4. Every provision of TBA Constitution,
Rules and Regulations must have been in
effect by those conducting the League or
Tournament in which the high score was bowled.
5. Notification of the high score must be
given to the Association Secretary within
24 hours after it has been bowled. The League
or Tournament Director must give this notification.
6. No more than fourteen (14) days may elapse
before the Local Association Secretary or
President gives such notification in writing
to TBA.
7. Inspection of Pins and Bowling Balls:
(a) The Tournament Director,
Secretary of the Association or his duly
authorised representative must inspect and
weigh the very pins used when the high score
was bowled. If that is not done immediately
after the game or series or session of play,
these pins should be put aside in a receptacle
immediately after the conclusion of the
series or session of play and sealed, awaiting
their inspection and weighing.
(b) Any bowling balls used
when the high score game was achieved will
be certified for correct weight and balance
by an authorised person, eg Association
Secretary or his authorised representative,
or qualified bowling centre staff members.
(c) The inspection and weighing
by the Association Secretary or their authorised
representative must be done within 72 hours
after the score has been rolled. He must
submit the complete High Game Application
together with the original score sheet to
TBA before thirty days have elapsed.
8. When a claim for recognition of an individual
high game of 300 is submitted, TBA may approve
the issuance of the award immediately upon
receipt of the High Game Application, or
they may refer the claim to the TBA Rules
and Ethics Committee for their consideration.

|
- 300 Games are only recognised and
listed here if they were bowled in an
accredited league or tournament.
- From June 1998 to February 1999
the records of recognised 300 games
lapsed as the then National Body folded.
- The first recognised 300 game bowled
in Australia was by Joe Velo in March
1963 at Northern Bowl, NSW.
- The first recognised 300 games bowled
in each state & territory:
- New
South Wales by Joe Velo in March 1963
at Northern Bowl - Queensland by
Wayne Sullivan in February 1964 at Mt
Isa - Victoria by Bob Hinton, September
1964 at Chadstone Bowl - South Australia
by Mark Halls, 9th October 1970 at Norwood
Bowl - Australian Capital Territory
by Alan Jarman, 1st April 1972 at Olympic
Bowl - Northern Territory by Kevin
Webb, 19th September 1982 at Dustbowl.
- Western Australia by Gwen Bunting,
29th June 1985 at Fairlanes - Tasmania
by Paul Lucock, August 1988 at Moonah
Bowl, Hobart.
- The first person to bowl two recognised
300 games was Chris Batson. The first
was on the 4th March 1974 and the second
was on the 30th June 1975. Both were
bowled at Rushcutter Bowl, NSW.
- The first woman to bowl a recognised
300 game was Trish Datson on the 14th
December 1974 at Rushcutter Bowl, NSW.
- The youngest person to bowl a recognised
300 game was Adam Svensson who
was only 13 years and 4 months, whe
he bowled the 300 on the 12 December
2009, at AMF Cannington, WA.
- The oldest person to bowl a recognised
300 game was John Rapley on the 15th
April 2003, at the age of 74 years and
at Orange Tenpin Bowl, NSW.
- The first person to bowl back-to-back
recognised 300 games was Derek Adams
in February 2003, at Nerang Tenpin Bowl,
Qld
- Nine 300 games have been bowled
in the Walter Rachuig Trophy Tournament.

- Tracey Madden was first woman to
bowl a 300 game during Walter Rachuig
Trophy Tournament. This was in 2004
at AMF Forest Hill, Vic, and was Tracey's
first 300 game.
- Bianca Flanagan was the first junior
bowler to ever bowl a 300 game during
the President's Junior Interstate Shield.
This was bowled in 2004 at Illawarra
StrikeZone, NSW.
- In the years 1963 to 1969 there
were a total of 14 recognised 300 games
bowled in Australia. In 2005, there
were 178 recognised 300 games bowled
in Australia.
